Wabi Sabi II (侘び寂び)
Ceramics (2020)
Wabisabi has a close relation with Zen and tea ceremony.
I wanted to appreciate it, so I have created wabisabi potteries to apply this concept in my daily life.Once the ceramics crack or break, I will use kintsugi (gold lacquer) to repair and appreciate its damage's beauty rather than hiding it.

INFINITE OCEAN
I was inspired by my joyful experience from my scuba diving in Okinawa, Japan, where I saw the beautiful scenery of colourful corals.
As I dived deeper into the water, I felt anxious about how the ocean seemed endless, and the sea was dominating over me. To show this fear, the reflections on the mirrors represented the infinite ocean. Yayoi Kusama's interactive mirror room Installations also inspired this artwork.
The hole on the front side allows the viewers to peek inside the box and to experience the same excitement as when I dived under the water.
